Course Description: Dysregulation has disrupted many children & adults’ daily lives as a result of COVID-19. From changed routines to new mask and distancing habits, many people around us, maybe even us ourselves, are not functioning at our best. The Zones of Regulation™ curriculum is a “systematic, cognitive-behavioral approach used to teach us how to regulate our feelings, energy and sensory needs in order to meet the demands of the situation around us and be successful socially” that was developed by Leah Kuypers, an occupational therapist. The Zones of Regulation™ curriculum can be applied to all populations and all settings. This presentation is a glimpse into how to apply this self-regulation tool into your practice.

Course Objectives:

1. Learners will distinguish the Zones of Regulation and their characteristics.

2. Learners will analyze Zones examples to determine strategies for regulation.

3. Learners will apply Zones of Regulation strategies to a treatment plan for their population/setting.

*This session will not be recorded.
