This course will include discussion around the ethical value of boundaries, self care and a healthy work life balance. The course will also incorporate group discussion and engagement in self soothing strategies for those impacted by vicarious trauma. Course Objectives:
Presenter: Sara Amos, LCSW, (She/Her) is an LCSW and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional from Nashville, TN. Since 2005, she has been working in a variety of community mental health settings and now owns a private practice primarily focused on supporting and empowering helping professionals. She has unique insight and experience with compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma that informs the path of healing along which sheguides her clients. These valuable experiences have shaped her passion for supporting the groups and individuals trying to effect change in every pocket of our world! In addition to caring for Nashville’s helpers, Sara enjoys yoga, reading and spending as much time outside as possible with her husband and two boys.
