Participants will review real-world examples as well as strategies and resources to support their role as advocates. At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:
Presenter: Dr. Jennifer Susong Crowder, DSc, OTR, has taught in the Post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) since 2018. In this role, she coordinates PPOTD capstone projects. Prior to joining USAHS, she specialized in school-based occupational therapy with 17 years of practice experience in this setting. Additionally, she worked for three years with primarily adult populations covering outpatient, day treatment, inpatient and skilled neuro-rehabilitation settings. She completed a Doctor of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Oklahoma in 2012, a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1997, and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at East Tennessee State University in 1995.
